POSITION OVERVIEW:
POSITION: Excellent & Urgent Opportunity for iPHONE (iOS) DEVELOPER
NETCLUES! is looking for a mobile app developer to lead the design,
development and maintenance of Android and iPhone apps. The developer
will lead the entire app lifecycle right from concept stage until
delivery and post launch support. Apps will be mainly content based and
integrated closely with the web sites. Candidate must have 2 years
professional experience in creating mobile applications to work on a
wide variety of devices/browsers (including iPhone, Android, Blackberry
and non-smart phones)
Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various
technical and creative environments, while delivering quality design
work by tight deadlines, are key attributes of this individual.
o Fluency in English Communication
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
o Acting as iOS and/ or Android developer. Depending on the skills
set can be lead on one platform and play a supporting role across the
other
o Working closely with another mobile app developer leading the other
platform development
o Deliver across the entire app life cycle –concept, design,
build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
o Gather requirements around functionality and translate those
requirements into elegant functional solutions
o Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects
o Working along the web developers to create and maintain a robust
framework to support the apps
o Working with the front end developers to build the interface with
focus on usability features
o Create compelling device specific user interfaces and experiences
o Standardizing the platform and in some cases apps to deliver across
multiple brands with minimal duplication of effort
o Optimizing performance for the apps
o Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile
technologies
o Attend industry events/ conference – both attending and
presenting
o Operates effectively as a member of the development team.
o Operates effectively as an individual for quick turnaround of
enhancements and adjustments.
o Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and
in high quality.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
iOS
o Good with OO design and programming skills in Objective-C
o Familiar with iOS SDK (UIKit, Cocoa Touch, Core Data, Core
Location, etc)
o Familiar with xcode
Android
o Good OO design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/ J2ME)
o Familiar with the Android SDK
o Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system
o Familiar with Eclipse
Common
o Understanding of other compiled languages
o Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
o Experience of development using web technologies
o Good understanding of OO programming and design patterns
o Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and PHP
o Experience using social media APIs
o Using version control (e.g. SVN)
o Excellent debugging and optimization skills
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
o LAMP development experience
o PHP frameworks (e.g. Zend)
